Troop190 meets every Thursday evening from 7:30pm - 8:30pm at our lodge in Grantham, PA.  Please feel free to send us an email if you are interested in learning more about our programs for boys 11-18 years old.

Troop 190 Families:

If you don't have a meal planned for Saturday 10/15/16, check out the Chicken BBQ sale at the American Legion, say hello to our own Pat Eagan who helps run the sale.  The Legion has been incredibly generous to us with a donation this past year.  The Full Chicken dinner includes a half chicken, cole slaw, baked beans, roll, and a bottle of water for $8, or you can get just half chicken and a roll for $6. They will also have chicken corn soup and ham n beam soup available for $5 per quart

Backpacking Trip- October 8, 9, and 10

The troop will hold a 3 day backing trip on Saturday October 8 to Monday, October 10 (Columbus Day).  We will hike the Appalachian Trail from Dead Woman Hollow Rd in Michaux State Forest to Route 34 (Carlisle Rd outside of Mount Holly Springs).  The plan is to hike about 4 miles on Saturday, 11 miles on Sunday, and 1.5 miles on Monday.  There is an attendee limit for this event.  Registration will take place through the website calendar on a first come first serve basis.

Things to Remember when asking for a Scoutmaster Conference (SMC) and Board of Review (BOR) - The Scouts should do this not parents, parents should be CC'd to all emails sent by Scouts to Adult Leadership in the Troop.

Recycling Service Project

Our troop sponsors a recycling project through Terra Cycle.  The program is designed to recycle items that cannot be placed in the normal recycling trash container.  A list of the items we are collecting is below.  Please have your scout bring in items from the list each week.

  • Spray Bottle tops (trigger caps, flexible packaging & pouches - not the plastic bottles)
  • Toothbrushes, floss containers, toothpaste tubes & packaging 
  • Plastic pens, mechanical pencils, markers, highlighters - plastic parts only 
  • Clear "Scotch" tape dispensers & their plastic cores 
  • Cereal bags - inner sleeves of cereal boxes 
  • Snack bags (pretzels, chips, crackers, cheese curls, etc.)
  • Laundry, Soda, Cleaning, Medicine Screw Lids and Caps
  • Plastic safety seals, plastic labels on water, soda, tea and sport drinks
